Property Description

As you watch the sunrise from your blind, the sun peaks over the horizon, lighting up Lake O.H. Ivie and the surrounding countryside. The Dos Robles is a premier high-fenced whitetail ranch that overlooks the 20,000-acre renowned fishery. This well-managed game ranch is exceptional, with an outstanding deer herd and well-thought-out amenities.
A perfect storm made Lake O.H. Ivie the place to be this ShareLunker season. The 12 Legacy-class Lunkers, which are 13 pounds or more, pulled from O.H. Ivie between January and the end of March exceed the lakes previous record of 11 in 2010 and triples the statewide total of Legacy Lunkers from 2020. Just one Legacy-class fish was collected from the lake last season. Houston Chronicle April 2021

Location: The ranch is located on 1929, 14 miles East of HWY 83. The ranch sits near the south side of O.H. Ivie Lake. The ranch gate is 5.4 miles from the Concho Park Marina on O.H. Ivie.

Habitat, Range, and Topography: Dos Robles has nice top relief with three hills throughout the ranch. From those hills, you can see lake O.H Ivie and also an expansive view to the Southeast. There is about 100 ft. of topographic relief on the place. The owner has strategically placed food plots throughout the ranch for winter forage for the whitetail deer. Several of these would also make good sunflower fields for dove hunting. There are excellent roads throughout the ranch. Most of the ranch is a mix of mesquite and ash juniper. Most of the cactus has been managed.

Wildlife: Dos Robles has a beautiful whitetail herd. Bred does were brought in 2015 and 2017 from the Los Olmos Ranch in Guadalupe County. These genetics, with thoughtful management, has generated several bucks over the 200-inch range. Other wildlife includes turkey, dove, and quail. The owner has eradicated all of the hogs inside the high fence.

Water: There are three water troughs throughout the ranch for wildlife watering stations. These are sourced from CRMWD water. The ranch also has a strong well.

Improvements: On the northern hill of the ranch sits the lodge and equipment barn. There is a beautiful view of the lake from the back porch of the lodge. The lodge is 2,800 sq. ft with six bedrooms and four bathrooms to accommodate 16 people. It has an open floor plan in the kitchen, living room, dining area. The lodge was built in 2006. There are also four full hookups for RVs and one extra 30 amp service near the rock building behind the house. There is also a 1000 yard rifle range and pistol range.

There is a 30X40 shop with two nice overhangs for vehicle storage.
