MISSION
The Mission of the Texas Alliance of Land Brokers is to achieve excellence in rural land brokerage and professional support to better serve clients and the public.
To this end, TALB will serve as an Instrument of Leadership to:
GUIDE the Texas Land Brokerage industry to higher standards of excellence
- Define & Maintain STANDARDS OF CONDUCT {Ethics / Values / Integrity} to which members
- Provide EDUCATION on rural land topics
- Promote BROKER RESPONSIBILITY for guidance and education of their sponsored agents
- Promote GEOGRAPHIC COMPETENCY of members
- Conduct PUBLIC AWARENESS campaigns
- PARTNER with Organizations engaged in rural land activities
- Build RELATIONSHIPS with the State Legislature and Agencies that govern the rural land brokerage industry
- GIVE BACK to the Community
- PROMOTE RELATIONSHIPS among fellow members and their clients
- Utilize COMMITTEE STRUCTURE to accomplish initiatives and sharpen relationships
- GROW / Add new members
On a Personal Level, TALB will challenge each member to:
- CONDUCT themselves with the highest ethical standards
- ESTABLISH & MAINTAIN RELATIONSHIPS with other Brokers

- Geographic Competency in the local marketplace
- Property Rights – Minerals, Water and Timber Rights
- How to locate rural properties
- TREC’s promulgated Farm and Ranch Contract
- Financial Markets
- Political issues and government regulations related to rural land ownership
