Jason Is a proud seventh generation Texan whose roots trace back to early ancestors who first arrived in Texas in 1833 and were heavily involved in the fight for independence and the founding of The Republic of Texas. Jason’s ancestors first settled in Burnet County in 1855, where his 3rd Great Grandfather and his family were early Burnet County settlers. He established his ranch on Mesquite Creek in northeast Burnet County and began buying and selling other ranch lands in Burnet and Williamson Counties. Jason is the sixth generation of his family to make his home in Burnet County and was raised on his Grandparent’s ranch in the community of Oatmeal, where he still owns a portion of the ranch which they purchased in 1951. Jason was the Burnet County Coordinator for Take Back Texas.
