As I continue to grow as a life‑centered financial planner, I’m energized by the opportunity to contribute to a service model that reflects the same vision I hold for my own practice: empathetic guidance, clear communication, and a commitment to long‑term well‑being. Before joining Grace Lane, I spent more than two decades in education and athletics at St. Andrew’s Episcopal School. I began as an Algebra I teacher and assistant basketball coach before being named Head Varsity Boys Basketball Coach in 2006—a role I held for 15 years. Along the way, I served as Assistant Athletic Director for nine years and later as Director of Athletics and Physical Education for another nine years. Those years shaped my leadership style and reinforced my belief in the power of strong relationships, consistent preparation, and values‑driven decision‑making. During my time at St. Andrew’s, I was honored with the Lucy Collins Nazro Faculty Service Award in 2022, and at the end of my tenure, the Athlete Award presented at graduation was named in my honor—an incredibly humbling moment. Beyond campus, I was elected by my peers in 2018 to serve as President of the Southwest Preparatory Conference Athletic Directors. For five years, I helped lead the Conference through a significant realignment process and the complexities of the COVID‑19 pandemic—experiences that deepened my appreciation for thoughtful collaboration and steady leadership. Most recently, I began building my own financial planning practice as a sole practitioner contracted through Capital Strategies, where I was recognized as their 2024 Rookie of the Year. That experience affirmed my desire to work in a model centered on meaningful client relationships—one of the many reasons Grace Lane felt like the right fit. I graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 2003, and Austin has been home ever since. My wife, Melissa, and I were married in 2006, and we now live in Buda with our two sons, Houston and Barrett. Whether coaching, teaching, or planning, my work has always been grounded in helping people grow toward the futures they imagine. That same purpose guides me today at Grace Lane, where I’m grateful for the opportunity to walk alongside families as they plan intentionally and live wholeheartedly.
