 iffany Dowell Lashmet is our October speaker.  She will be teaching her 1
  hour course on carbon contracts.\n\n\n\nTiffany Dowell Lashmet has served
  as an Agricultural Law Specialist for Texas A&amp\;M AgriLife Extension S
 ervice since 2013.  Tiffany’s work focuses on legal issues impacting Te
 xas landowners and agricultural producers including leases\, water law\, o
 il and gas law\, pipeline easement negotiation\, estate planning\, and lan
 downer liability.  She travels the state speaking at various meetings and
  conferences on these issues and has published several law review articles
 \, extension fact sheets\, magazine articles\, and newspaper articles on t
 hese topics.\n\nShe also authors the award-winning Texas Agriculture Law 
 Blog\, recognized as one of the Top 100 Legal Blogs in the nation by the A
 merican Bar Association in 2014\, 2015 and 2016.  Tiffany hosts the Ag L
 aw in the Field Podcast\, which was included as one of twenty podcasts on 
 the American Bar Association Web 100 in 2018.\n\nTiffany was named State S
 pecialist of the Year in Texas Agriculture by the Texas County Agricultura
 l Agents Association in 2016 and won the American Agricultural Law Associa
 tion Excellence in Agricultural Law Award for Academia in 2019.  Tiffany 
 is licensed to practice law in Texas and New Mexico.  She grew up on her 
 family’s farm and ranch in Northeastern New Mexico\, between Tucumcari a
 nd Logan. She now lives in the Texas Panhandle with her husband and two ch
 ildren.
