She received her PhD and Master of Science degrees from the University of Florida in 2007 and 2003\, respectively\, and her B achelor of Science degree from Bethany College\, WV in 2001. Dr. Swiger is responsible for adult educational outreach and research projects state-wi de related to livestock/veterinary entomology and serves as the Extension contact for mosquito issues. She has given over 1200 program presentations on insect pests of cattle and public health concern and insect management \, published 33 Extension publications\, and 13 peer reviewed journal arti cles.
